The broad range of laboratory investigations available at LenMedCenter includes the following:
gastric panel: gastrin, pepsinogen, antibodies to H. pylori,
gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase,
elastase in feces (the exocrine function of the pancrease),
antibodies to the parietal cells of the stomach (autoimmune gastritis),
antibodies to mitochondria (primary biliary cirrhosis),
IgM and total antibodies to lamblia,
antibodies to four helminths (echinococcus, toxocara, trichinella, and Opisthorchis),
cancer markers: CA 19-9, CEA, CA 72-4, a-fetoprotein, b2-microglobulin, etc,
anemia markers: ferritin, vitamin B12, total blood serum iron, and transferrin saturation,
tests for rubella, toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus, herpes, mononucleosis, Epstein-Barr virus,
C-reactive protein quantitation,
intolerance of food products, and
IgE to ascaris and other allergens.
